The Graduats School of Health Sciences (ESSS) is the constituency of the European Institute of Health Sciences dedicated to higher education, search for knowledge, academic excellence, and development of health professions.

The mission of the ESSS is to generate, disseminate and apply knowledge in health sciences aiming at prevention of disease, promotion of health, elimination of health disparities and improvement of the health system performance. The School offers a wide range of interdisciplinary degree programs as well as training courses in the areas of nursing sciences, physiotherapy, psychomotor therapy, speech and language pathology, nutrition, clinical psychology, public health and healthcare administration.

To achieve this mission, the school aims to:

  • Educate students for professional careers in health disciplines through graduate and post-graduate programs.
  • Enhance knowledge and skills of the health workforce through continuing education, distance learning, and technical assistance;
  • Conduct research studies pertinent to the recognition, characterization, and resolution of priority health problems.
  • Provide managerial, programmatic, and technical support in the delivery and evaluation of health services; and
  • Create an environment that supports excellence in learning, research, and service.
